Even if you aren't ready for an Akita of your own, it's a good thing
for the potential Akita owner to get to know as many Akitas as
possible. This enables you to learn more about these intelligent dogs
who live to take care of their family.
Working dogs need a job and if an Akita could talk, he'd tell you his
job is taking care of his family; he's a fun loving guy with a great
sense of self but never doubt how serious he is about his job. The
Akita has been bred for hundreds of years to be the loyal and dedicated
companion we know today. At the end of the day, there are two things
you can count on: the Akita who is a loved part of a family can be
counted on to give his family his total and unconditional love and he
is all about taking care of his family.
Location
We are located near Denver, Colorado and realize that's not always the most convenient place to visit. We have placed Akitas in forever homes in ten different states from Washington to Vermont, but we do not ship our dogs. To that end, if you think you would not like to travel to Colorado for a Blue Moon Akita, we are very happy to assist you in networking with other Akita rescues across the United States.
