Riley's Story -- Dodge City KS to Kiowa, CO -- May 2008
It's a tribute to the intelligence and determination of the Akita that
this young (under a year) dog was able to fend for herself and a litter
of five pups on the KS plains in the winter. This very young momma was
dumped many miles from any towns or houses, where she whelped her
litter of pups and raised them feral ... rescue and adoption
coordinated through Blue Moon's adoption partner, Cheri, in Dodge City

Angie Molly Kieko's Story -- Joplin, MO to Park City UT-- May 2008
This sweet girl was a puppy mill mommy; when she was about worn out she
was given to a backyard breeder and then left to die when she had
complications following her last litter of puppies. She was rescued by
a good samaritan, nursed back to health and came to Blue Moon to await
the forever home we promised her ...
