TKay's Story

Blue Moon Akita Rescue
TKay is a southern gentleman ... smooth with great manners ...

My name is TKay and I am still really puzzled by what's turned my life upside down.  One day I had a family that I thought loved me.  I'd been with them since I was a puppy and I'm now somewhere between 3 and 4 years old.  I learned how to be respectful of my family and I took real good care of them and their stuff and made sure nobody bothered anything if my family was gone.  Then one day they came home with a puppy.  I thought that meant we were all going to be friends.  But the next day they put me in the truck and took me to the vet and told him they didn't want me anymore and that they didn't care what he did with me.

That was scarey and I was afraid my number was up.  But then another of the dogs told me she had heard I was going to somewhere called Colorado to be in a rescue but that I have to go somewhere else to wait until I can be transported there.  So now I'm sitting in that somewhere else and waiting to come to Colorado.

I am so confused.  I don't know why my folks didn't want me anymore.  I tried to do everything right.  Do you know why they didn't love me forever?

TKay is such a good boy and so deserving of a happy ever after.  He's between 3 and 4 years of age, he's HW negative, neutered and current on all shots.  He will be microchipped before moving in with a new family.  This boy is a sweet, healthy guy who likes people and other dogs.  He's not so sure about cats but seems to be willing to negotiate a truce if the cats will just stop spitting at him.  He likes well mannered children.   He is a calm and gentle dog who tries not to offend anyone, although he is every inch the Akita and is comfortable in his own skin.  He's going to make some lucky person/family a wonderful friend.

We don't have any answers for TKay as we sure can't figure out why anybody was dumb enough to let this wonderful dog go.
