To be loved by an Akita is to know the full depth of unconditional love and devotion.  A lifetime doesn't seem long enough to spend with the ones we love and the sad truth is that the lifetime with our Akita friends who give us so much and ask for so little -- that lifetime in particular passes all too quickly.  These pages honor those Akitas who have crossed the Rainbow Bridge, taking with them a piece of our hearts.

RAINBOW BRIDGE   If you have had a special Akita in your life who has crossed the Rainbow Bridge, we know there are really no words to ease your loss.  We know that you can never replace that family member, but as time passes, we hope you will honor your friend by inviting another Akita to join your family circle.  The fond memories of your old friend will be especially sweet as you open your heart to an orphan Akita.  I believe your friend will be smiling down at you and happy your family circle is once again complete with an Akita to care for you. 

If you would like your Akita(s) honored on the Blue Moon Rainbow Bridge, please send me a picture or two attached to an email with the subject RAINBOW BRIDGE and tell me about your special Akita.  Write me at karena@bluemoonakitarescue.com.  Some days are kinda busy so it may take me a few days to get your dog onto the bridge, but I am happy to do this for your Akita.  I will acknowledge your note and will advise you when the posting is complete.   We hope this site will give you some comfort and, of course, there is no charge for your Akita joining our friends on the Blue Moon Rainbow Bridge ... we're all family.
